Great (food) news for Heaton Chapel

Feed General Store opened in Heaton Chapel just a few weeks before Christmas, adding to the general buzz that’s developing down this funky end of The Heatons.

Maya and Tris, who met whilst working as chefs in the same kitchen six years ago – fell in love over their love of food, and this love of food has created ‘FEED’ (their baby!). Latterly they both worked at Altrincham Market, an experience they loved, and which inspired them to take the plunge and create ‘Feed’.

Accomplished pastry chef Maya is now ‘front of house’, the cheery, welcoming face of Feed. She’s responsible for the delicious brownie smell emanating from the place!  While Tristan is using his years of experience to cook up a storm in the kitchen. He spent months prior to opening FEED, creating a paired-down menu, chock full of tasty breakfast and lunch dishes, using organic ingredients wherever possible, with plenty of veggie and vegan choices. Previously stifled by being unable to buy the ingredients they felt their dishes deserved, they’re now in control of their own futures, free to purchase the best local, organic and seasonal produce they can find. Which is what FEED is all about! In the ‘shop’ section there’s a small, carefully selected ‘greengrocery’ section, fresh bread every day and a few inspiring gift ideas (choccies anyone?).  And true to their beliefs, Maya and Tris aim to always make best use of the freshest foods in stock to create the day’s dishes.

Great for food lovers, great for The Heatons. Watch this space for more from FEED!
